Mystic Springs Golf Course

Today the trip will take you up in the mountains to Mystic Springs Golf Course. The drive will take a bit more than 30 minutes. Mystic Springs is one of the latest golf courses in Sanya area and opened its greens in late 2011. There are two 18-hole courses, Mystic and Springs, where Mystic is a bit more challenging. The courses are designed by Nelson & Haworth and for the golfers looking for a challenge we recommend to play Mystic, as its "devils bend" consisting of holes number 3, 4 and 5 are the probably most challenging holes in China. The most difficult one is with Number 3 the socalled Demon Hole right at the beginning of the series. It requires two perfectly aimed shots one of them carry 200 yards over gully followed by a change of direction and another carry over gully to the uphill green. Take enough balls with you, you will need them. All in all Mystic Springs offers great and very challenging game play with dramatic elevation changes, rewarded by stunning vistas. For ambitious players, this course is certainly one of the highlights of your Hainan golf trip.
