Intercontinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort opened its doors fully in early 2014 and is the latest among the 5* Resort Hotels at Haitang Bay. With its 88sqm large standard rooms which are tastefully furnished, Intercontinental offers the largest standard rooms in andy 5* Hotel all over Hainan. The whole investment was over 2.5 bln USD and you can see it everywhere in the hotel. Everything is just bigger than in other hotels and despite the massive size, the hotel has been built in a very functional way and getting from the rooms to the lobby / pool level is actually very quick. The Hotel also boasts a great complementary 500sqm Kids club, hence the Intercontinental is also perfect for a family stay. The kids club is right next to the pool area and the all day restaurant so it's very convenient for families. The beach is around 500 meters away from the main hall, but since it's all hotel property it's easy to get there.
The rooms are all equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, a bathtub on the balcony, flat-screen TV, complementary WIFI and a comfortable couch. The decoration with lots of bgith wood makes you feel comfortable from the beginning and form the bed you can enjoy a great view over the South Chia Sea.

Another unique feature is apart form the great service the Aqua Restaurant which is actually built underground and offers direct view into the hotel owned aquarium and offers a unique culinary experience. The Chinese restaurant is not only with impressive decoration, the food is definitely top of the line and also the breakfast buffet is outstanding.
