Shanghai

Today we drive to Zhujiajiao, which is one of the “water towns” around 1 hour drive from Shanghai. The town was established around 1700 years ago, although archeological findings go back as far as 5000 years. Mostly the town generated its business from rice and clothes. Countless stone bridges and old buildings give a great impression of old China, however, the touristic development also has been having negative impacts. Nevertheless, it’s a great place to escape the modern city of Shanghai. In the evening farewell dinner at one of Shanghai’s finest dining places.
