Get up very early for the sunrise and with a bit of weather luck you will be able to make some dramatic pictures form the Great Wall. After a simple breakfast we hike for around 2 hours to the renovated section of the Mutianyu Great Wall, where we take the cable car down.
For lunch we will have BBQ trout and other local specialties in one of the countryside restaurants and then we head back to town.
At the 798 arts district we will stop and our arts expert Nikolaus Ellrodt will take us for a tour and tell more about the Chinese contemporary arts scene. After the tour return to the hotel and free evening.
